Cloud Readiness
In the rush to capitalise on the benefits of migrating to the cloud, one of the most overlooked considerations is cloud readiness. The financial and operational efficiencies gained can be hugely beneficial, but moving too quickly, without knowing the full costs or even if your current environment and applications will perform properly in the cloud, is risky, and you may not have the in-house resources needed for this key step in the process.
With this in mind, it makes sense to investigate whether your business would benefit from investing in a cloud solution. With Kabeelah’s Cloud Readiness Assessment (CRA) service, you will be in a strong position to decide if the cloud is right for you before making the move.
Discover whether your business is ready for the cloud
Our Cloud Readiness Assessment starts with a thorough, hands-on examination of your computing environment and business objectives, conducted by experienced cloud specialists.
The assessment process itself consists of nine steps to understand the business motives, justifications, outcomes required, skills readiness, and scope of the digital estate.
- Motive: Why do you want to migrate to the cloud?
- Business outcome: Do you know or have a quantified business outcome?
- Business justification: How would the success of moving to the cloud be measured?
- Type of migration: Bite-size, big bang, or slow and grow?
- Digital estate: What is the size and profile of the current digital estate, and what is in scope?
- Rationalisation: Consider the 5 Rs of cloud rationalisation (rehost, refactor, rearchitect, rebuild and replace). Organisation alignment: Align the people in the organisation to the capabilities required to adopt the cloud.
- Skills readiness: Does the business have the skills to perform a cloud migration and to manage it post-migration?
- Report and recommendations: All the information gathered is converted into a full CRA report. The report, and its assessment on cloud readiness, is then presented to all key stakeholders with a view to agreeing next steps.
